Pet Personalities

This category was introduced in 2007 and has been a huge success.  We all adore our pets and they all have their individual characters which make us love them. We want you to try and capture your pet's character with your camera. It may be the look in your pet's eyes, a certain place they love to go to, a cheeky moment when they are doing something they shouldn't... you decide what works best.

Wet dogs on clean sheets, cats curled up on their favourite chairs, hamsters looking cute nibbling seeds or rabbits tucking in to their favourite treats. We want to see your pets in their everyday lives doing things that pets do naturally, so please don't dress your pet up or make it do tricks for the camera.

Olympus SP-600UZIf you are a finalist in this category then you will win an invite to the exclusive awards ceremony where if you are lucky enough to win you will be awarded with a trophy and a fantastic Olympus SP600 camera.

Sam Rowley, Pet personalities winner 2009Last year's winner was an amusing shot taken by Sam Rowley of his grandma's dog 'Twiggy', proudly showing off her destroyed football! The  combination of the cheeky, shaggy dog and her bounty and the story behind the picture made this the winning image for the judges.

The Pet Personalities finalists

All the finalists enjoyed the awards ceremony and everyone got to meet Matt Baker and see their photo framed and as part of the exhibition.
